Scholarships are offered to eligible high school and/or college undergraduate students.
Applicant must be enrolled in an accredited four year college or university; must be in good academic standing and have demonstrated participation in extracurricular activities and community service.
Award amounts are annual from $500 to $1000.
Three scholarships will be awarded annually.
Completed applications are required and must include transcripts, letter of recommendation, personal statement, citizenship, residency and income verification. Click here for a description of required documents
Final candidates will be required to participate in an interview with the Selection Committee.

Eligibility Requirements
All applicants must meet the following minimum requirements to be considered for the Acasha Nicholas Scholarship Fund

The applicant must be a candidate for a course of study that will prepare the applicant for a career that is consistent with the religious tenets of being a Christian.

The applicant must be a resident of New York State.

The applicant must be a citizen of the United States (subject to verification).

The applicant must be of African-American or Hispanic descent.

The applicant must submit documents for verification of income.

The applicant must have a minimum high school grade point average of 85% out of 100%; or a 3.0 or above out of a 4.0 scale; or a B+ average at the time of application submission.

The applicant must be a high school senior, a high school graduate initially entering an educational facility, or a current student attending an accredited college or university.
An applicant who is a relative of a member of the Scholarship Program Coordinating Committee or the Scholarship Selection Committee is not eligible to apply for or receive funding from the Acasha Nicholas Scholarship Fund. For these purposes "relative" means any person connected by blood or marriage to any foregoing individuals.
How To Apply:
The applicant must complete the application online or by mail and submit it to the Scholarship Program Coordinating Committee no later than March 15, 2025.
Application must include the the following items:

Recent Photo

One letter of recommendation from a non-relative professional, educational or business contact.

Personal statement not more than 250 words that includes demonstrated participation in extracurricular and community service activities.

High school transcript (for grades 11 through 12 or through first semester of 12th grade); college transcripts for previous semester of continuous attendance. Only official transcripts will be accepted.
